Favorite Tempest Quotes

The Tempest is considered to be one of Shakespeare's final plays.  It is a wonderful masterpiece that combines many of his greatest stories all into one.   Here a few of my favorite quotes:

“We are such stuff as dreams are made on,
and our little life is rounded with a sleep.”

“Hell is empty and all the devils are here.”

“What's past is prologue.”

"You are three men of sin, whom Destiny,
That hath to instrument this lower world
And what is in ’t, the never-surfeited sea
Hath caused to belch up you—and on this island
Where man doth not inhabit, you ’mongst men
Being most unfit to live. I have made you mad,
And even with suchlike valor men hang and drown
Their proper selves. "
